1. Acceptance

By using PasteNext, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

In these terms, "PasteNext," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the PasteNext product and its operator. PasteNext is the product and service name and does not imply that a company or separate legal entity has been formed.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PasteNext on Apple devices you own or control.

You may use PasteNext for personal, professional, or internal business clipboard workflows, but you do not receive ownership of the app, website, brand, design, code, or other product materials.

Except where allowed by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass licensing mechanisms, remove notices, or access PasteNext in unauthorized ways.

3. Intellectual property

PasteNext, its name, icons, interface designs, website content, documentation, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use PasteNext branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without written permission.

You retain rights to the content you copy, paste, store, import, or export with PasteNext. These terms do not give us ownership of your clipboard content.

4. App Store terms

If you obtain PasteNext through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple Media Services terms and Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement, unless we provide a separate written license.

5. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

PasteNext may offer free features, one-time purchases, and auto-renewable subscription features. Prices, trials, features, availability, and subscription periods may vary by version, region, or App Store presentation.

  • The free version keeps up to 100 clipboard history items.
  • PasteNext Pro unlocks unlimited clipboard history.
  • Monthly subscription product ID: pastenext.monthly.pro.
  • Lifetime purchase product ID: pastenext.lifetime.pro.
  • Buying the lifetime purchase does not automatically cancel an active monthly subscription. If you switch from monthly to lifetime, manage or cancel the monthly subscription in your Apple account subscription settings.

Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, taxes, and payment information made through the App Store are handled by Apple. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew under Apple's rules unless you cancel in your Apple account subscription settings. PasteNext only reads purchase and entitlement status from Apple to unlock features.

If Apple changes, rejects, reverses, refunds, cancels, or cannot verify a transaction, related Pro features may become unavailable until the entitlement is restored or purchased again. Subscription management links may open Apple-controlled pages outside PasteNext.

6. Clipboard content and your responsibility

PasteNext is a local-first clipboard utility. Your clipboard and locally derived search data, such as OCR text from images, may contain passwords, keys, personal information, trade secrets, copyrighted content, or other sensitive information. You are responsible for deciding what to save, delete, export, share, or paste.

PasteNext is not a password manager, encrypted vault, legal compliance system, or backup service. You are responsible for protecting your Mac, backups, exported ZIP archives, and any destination where you paste or share clipboard content.

You must ensure that your use of PasteNext does not infringe others' rights, breach confidentiality obligations, bypass security controls, or violate applicable laws, employer policies, or platform rules.

7. Prohibited conduct

  • Do not reverse engineer, bypass licensing, or abuse purchase mechanisms.
  • Do not use automation, scraping, or load-generation tools to disrupt the website, support channel, or App Store-related flows.
  • Do not use PasteNext to process content you do not have the right to process.
  • Do not interfere with the website, app, App Store, or Apple services.
  • Do not use PasteNext to store, distribute, or process illegal, harmful, infringing, or unauthorized content.
  • Do not upload or send malicious files, exploit payloads, private keys, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive clipboard databases through support.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how PasteNext handles information, including clipboard history, local data, purchase status, and support requests.

9. Third-party services and external links

PasteNext may open Apple, App Store, subscription management, system settings, support pages, cloud storage locations, or external links you copy. These third-party services and websites are controlled by their respective providers and governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

PasteNext is not responsible for third-party content, availability, purchases, refunds, account actions, or data handling by Apple, your browser, hosting providers, email providers, cloud drives, or other services you choose.

10. Updates, compatibility, and availability

We may add, change, limit, or remove features, documentation, prices, supported macOS versions, or website content over time. Some features may depend on macOS permissions, Apple APIs, App Store availability, device capabilities, or your local configuration.

We are not obligated to maintain every older version indefinitely. If a feature requires an update for security, compatibility, purchase verification, or platform compliance reasons, older versions may stop working as expected.

11. Support and feedback

We may provide support through the PasteNext Support page or email, but support availability, response times, and resolution are not guaranteed. You are responsible for backing up important local data before troubleshooting, importing, clearing history, or reinstalling.

If you send suggestions, bug reports, ideas, translations, screenshots, or other feedback, you allow us to use them to improve PasteNext without owing compensation, while you retain ownership of any rights you already have in that feedback.

12. Disclaimers

PasteNext is provided "as is" and "as available." We try to provide a reliable experience, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every purpose, free from data loss, or able to detect every sensitive item.

You should decide whether to save important or sensitive content and back up or delete local data as needed. PasteNext is not a substitute for a password manager, compliance system, backup system, legal advice, or security audit tool.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to PasteNext is limited to the amount you paid for PasteNext during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $20 if you did not pay us during that period.

14. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may update the app, website, features, pricing, or these terms. If terms materially change, we will update this page and the last updated date. You may stop using PasteNext at any time. If you materially violate these terms, we may restrict or terminate access to relevant features where permitted by law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including license restrictions, intellectual property, privacy, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and applicable law, will continue to apply.

15. Applicable law

These terms apply without excluding mandatory consumer protection laws in your location. Some regions may not allow certain disclaimers or liability limitations, so parts of the sections above may not fully apply to you.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable Apple terms, form the agreement for your use of PasteNext.
