1. Acceptance
By using SnapScene, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. By using SnapScene you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
In these terms, “SnapScene,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the SnapScene product and its operator. SnapScene is the product and service name and does not imply that a company or separate legal entity has been formed.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SnapScene on Apple devices you own or control.
Except where allowed by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass licensing mechanisms, remove notices, or access SnapScene in unauthorized ways.
SnapScene and its trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property belong to EF Tools or its licensors. This license only permits you to use the app; it does not transfer ownership or grant any other rights.
3. App Store terms and purchases
If you obtain SnapScene through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple Media Services terms and Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement, unless we provide a separate written license.
SnapScene may offer free features and one-time purchase features. The SnapScene Pro lifetime purchase product ID is snapscene.pro.lifetime, which unlocks Pro features including unlimited workspaces. Purchases, refunds, taxes, and payment information are handled by Apple.
If Apple changes, reverses, refunds, cancels, or cannot verify a transaction, related Pro features may become unavailable until the entitlement is restored or purchased again.
4. Window and data responsibility
SnapScene helps arrange windows and save scenes, but you remain responsible for deciding what to save, restore, delete, or export.
You must ensure that your use of SnapScene does not infringe others' rights, breach confidentiality obligations, bypass security controls, or violate applicable laws, employer policies, or platform rules.
You retain all rights in the scenes, window layouts, and files you save or export with SnapScene. We do not claim ownership of your data.
5. Permissions and platform limits
SnapScene arranges windows through the SnapScene Window Helper shortcut that you install through the Shortcuts app. The first time you use SnapScene, macOS asks you to allow SnapScene to control Shortcuts Events. If you do not install the helper, remove it, or revoke this permission, some features may not work. SnapScene requires Stage Manager to be turned off for window arrangement to work reliably.
SnapScene does not promise to control every app, full-screen window, system-protected window, or future macOS window behavior.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SnapScene is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every workflow.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim relating to SnapScene is limited to the amount you paid for SnapScene during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $20 if you paid nothing during that period.
7. Changes, termination, and contact
We may update the app, features, prices, or these terms. Continued use of SnapScene means you accept the updated terms.
If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your permission to use SnapScene.
